This Christmas was pretty low-key. We decided it would be best to just stay home with the kids and not make the long trip to Utah. It was nice. We just relaxed and really didn't do much (although we did spend some time fixing up our new house).
We didn't get the kids a single present....not one! We didn't get a single thing for each other either (me and Curtis). I'm not bragging about that....it's kind of sad, really, but in all honesty we just didn't have the money. And none of us needed anything, so just having each other was plenty. The grandparents send a few things for the kids, so they at least got to open some presents....and they were so cute doing it.
I love Christmas...I love the music, the lights, the tree (even though we didn't have one of those this year either), the smells, the food, I love it all. There is just something magical about it all. Now that we have kids, it's even better! I hope we can start some fun family Christmas traditions of our own!
I wish you all a very merry, wonderful Christmas!!
