>>ROUND 2

Our little guy is here!!

Meet Henry....

He is the sweetest, most lovable guy in the whole world.

Here's the scoop on his arrival....

Early Monday morning (Oct. 29th) my water broke.  I woke Curtis up with the news and we quickly gathered up a few things, loaded Clover into her car seat and headed to the hospital.  I was monitored at our local hospital for an hour or two before my doctor gave us the news that I would be flown to Billings for the delivery.  Our small little town doesn't do high-risk deliveries or anything less than 36 weeks (I was 35 weeks...or about 4 1/2 weeks early).

Curtis wasn't able to fly with me so the plan was for him to run home, load up all the things we would need in Billings and drive up with Clover and meet me there.  I hate flying and was scared to death to go...especially without Curtis, but I knew I didn't have a choice and had to just suck it up and put on my "brave face."

I arrived in Billings by 10 a.m. and began my whole laboring journey.  Holy moly labor is tough.  I thought I was tough, but those contractions kicked my butt.

Long story short, I labored for about 9 hours (from the time my water broke), Henry's little heartrate dropped dangerously low (about 30 beats per minute) and I was rushed down the hall for an emergency c-section.  Sweet Henry made his appearance into the world around 3:30 p.m. weighing 4 pounds, 8 ounces.

Curtis missed it all.  He made it to Billings and walked into the room just as I was getting stitched up.

It was a crazy, crazy day, but a wonderful day too.  It was a scary delivery, but our little Henry made it safe and sound.  It's hard to believe that it has almost been a week

He is currently in the NICU (yes, another NICU stay!!) and will be for probably another week.

We love our little guy and can't believe he is actually here!  We couldn't be happier.  Clover has already been a great big sister.  She thinks her little brother is pretty darn spectacular!
