I totally loved it! I kinda want to see it again.
I think they did a fabulous job with the movie. I loved Effie, I loved seeing Stanley Tucci as Caesar (the master of ceremonies), I loved Cinna and Jennifer Lawrence was just what I was hoping for as Katniss Everdeen. And Rue....oh my goodness...bless her heart.
What are your thoughts? Did you love it? Hate it? Refuse to read or see it?
Read it. Loved it. Saw it (twice). Loved it even more.
ReplyDeleteI read it but forgot a lot of it. :) Saw it at midnight with Jake, who didn't read the books, but we both really enjoyed it. I'm impressed with how well they toned down the violence (mostly). I know when to close my eyes...it was the same in Breaking Dawn, too. :) I think all the actors were awesome, and yeah Rue was just adorable. Love Katniss- she's holds her own! And Peeta and Gale are both quite good lookin. I wanna go see it again too.

ReplyDeleteI liked it! We saw it first thing off the ship in Miami! I wish they would have played up the romance between Peeta and Katniss. I thought the romantic acting was soooo lacking. The fight scenes were so quick! If you blinked it was over. I think they hit all the good spots and important parts of the book! Great start for the series!

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I want you to update your blog more often. Because you're funny and you're a breath of fresh air. :) Second of all, I LOVED Hunger Games!! Absolutely. I thought Katniss was perfect. All the casting characters were awesome. Peeta had to grow on me a little but I loved him by the end. Here's to watching it again and again come Redbox time!
