>>GOTCHA!

There have been a lot of practical jokes going on in our house lately.

Exhibit A.  Mike the Mouse

I bought this little mouse last year at Ikea specifically to scare my grandma.  I put it on her ironing board and it worked just as planned.  She was terrified.

Well, then I forgot all about it until I found it a few weeks ago buried in a box at home.  My mischievous side came out and I decided to put in on the stair to scare Curtis.  Score!  Then I decided to put it in the bathroom to scare him again.  Score!  Then, that same night mind you, I put in the bed for one last scare.  Score again!

It was awesome.

Then he scared me about a dozen times with it the following week.  It's amazing how real the mouse appears when tossed along the hardwood floors.  It's uncanny, really.

Exhibit B.  Creepy crawly plastic spiders

The other day Curtis bought a package of plastic Halloween spiders in hopes of frightening me.  We are already both a little on edge about spiders considering we found a black widow just hanging out on our couch a few nights ago.  Eek!!

Well, Curtis did succeed in scaring me with the spiders....but nothing like I scared him.

If you are ever looking for a sure way of scaring someone with a big fake spider....just put one in a cereal bowl in the cupboard.  Gets 'em every time!!

It got to the point where we were both constantly suspicious of one another....constantly on the lookout.  So, last night we decided it was time to call a truce.

The funny thing about it though, was after we called our truce and promised not to scare each other anymore, Curtis got scared by one of the fake spiders that was left in the hamper from when he was trying to scare me.  Bah, ha ha ha ha.

Oh, good times.

PS. If you want to participate in the soup recipe exchange, it's not too late.  It will be a few days before I have time to compile all the recipes, so please do share if you haven't yet.  This kind of thing works best and is more fun with more people participating.  So, if you are just the tiniest bit interested, please do email me a soup recipe.  You won't regret it come snowy, freezing cold days.  Thanks, gracious!
