>>I WAS COOL ONCE

It's true.  In 6th grade, I was cool.

I was so cool, in fact, that I had a bowl-cut.
I know, that amount of coolness is tough
to imagine.

But it's true.

I have no sisters, mind you....no one
to give me any sort of fashion counsel.
When it came to fashion, I was on my
own....and boy did I know what was
cool and what wasn't.

And plus, I lived
with my grandparents and my grandma
thought my bowl-cut was cute.

So, there.

Speaking of being a fashion guru,
during my bowl-cut days, I
also wore clothes that were
3 times too big...and...wait
for it....a braided leather belt.

You are probably wondering
if I folded the end of my belt in
a little knot and hung it down
my waist.

You bet I did.

I could go on, but you are
probably already a bit
overwhelmed with all this
coolness.  I know, it's
hard to imagine....me
being cool and all.

'95 was a good year, indeed.

  3. Lol! You make me laugh so much. I was almost that cool, but not cool enough for a bowl cut. Instead, I had fluffy bangs and crazy hair that couldn't decide if it was curly or straight-ish. The funny thing is, I actually bought a thin, braided belt from Downeast a while ago thinking it was cute for like a...waist belt? As in more as an accessory over a shirt and not for holding up pants? I don't know if that makes sense, but maybe you know what I mean. Anyways...I thought it was funny because it totally reminded me of the good ol' '90s and braided belts and I thought it was weird that I had another one. I still haven't worn it.

P.S. I win for longest comment ever, I think. ;)
