Things I love now include . . .
Reading. Sometimes I love to read and other times I don't. The secret for me is finding the right book. I joined a book club this month. Not only is this my first month being a part of this group, but also my first time playing host. I chose the book I Capture the Castle. Thanks for the recommendation, Kristy. I have really enjoyed this book.

Photography. I am eager to become knowledgeable and good at photography. And by photography, I mean photography...not photoshop. Lately I've been studying the different aspects of photography (aperture, f-stops, shutter speed, etc). My next step is to get out and practice what I've learned. My hope is to learn how to take great photos...no editing needed.

Dexter. This show is totally my guilty pleasure. I LOVE it. I am counting down until the latest season in available on Netflix. This is not a recommendation for others to watch this show. It's just me saying that I love it.

Cows. Is that weird? Since living in Thermopolis, we have taken many drives through the countryside. Our drives are so nice and relaxing. It is some of the few times I actually don't stress out about being in the car. We see lots and lots of cows on our drives. I have come to really love looking at them. The more I do it, the more I see their characters. The other day, we saw a cow laying down eating grass while sunbathing. They are actually quite funny creatures.

Cinnamon Swirl Toast. I am loving this in the mornings (and in the afternoons too). Delicious topped with butter. I think I may go toast me a piece when I'm done with this post.

Captain Crunch with Berries. Yum. I'm loving this lately.

Birds. We have seen some amazing birds lately...including a few bald eagles during one of our trips to Montana. I have never appreciated how beautiful and magnificent birds are. Last year during one of our trips home to Utah, we drove past a flock of Peacocks on the highway. No joke. Also, I think one of the robins hanging around our house is full of eggs. It is the fattest bird I have ever seen.

Crocheting. One day out of the blue, I decided I wanted to make my friend a gift for her baby girl. I thought to myself, what could I make? I decided that I could probably crochet something that resembled a headband. This is what I came up with. It was really easy and kind of fun. Now I want to make a bunch more. So...friends with baby girls...need a headband?

So...there is my list of things I am loving right now (at least the things I could think of).
What are you loving?
I love birds, too.
ReplyDeleteI love Cap'n Crunch with Crunchberries!! I used to eat it all the time when I was pregnant. I haven't had a bowl of cereal in years. I figured out that milk in the morning makes me sick. Can you believe? No wonder I hated hot cereal so much. It was making me sick. I feel so much better now that I have changed my breakfast habits!
I totally know what you mean about going through phases of loving things! I get obsessed with patterns, songs, colors, etc, etc!
ReplyDeleteI saw that you had been reading my hubby's photography blog (he has a Feedjit) and I hope it's helping. I think it's very clear and the easiest information you'll find out there.
Tawna-I used to think that milk made me sick in the mornings, but then I learned that just about everything makes me sick in the mornings...so I'm careful with what I eat. I usually wait a couple of hours after waking up to eat.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Davis-Indeed I have been reading your hubby's blog...and even taking notes. :) My hubs is into photography as well. He has been trying to teach me all of this throughout our marriage, but I always forget everything and get confused. I finally decided that I needed to take notes and actually study...so, that is what I'm doing now.
I know what you mean I love love love dexter (but I feel guilty recommending it to people because of the F bombs and boobies) I'm so sad I just ran out of episodes, I think I read the book to tide me over until the next season
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you liked I Capture the Castle! What a compliment.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out Dexter...
We think you forgot about one thing you love...remodeling your house.
ReplyDeleteSweet headband. If I had a girl I would be begging you for one. Keep that in mind if we ever do have a girl. :)
ReplyDeleteI loovvve the headband...and love the blue! Thank you! If you teach me how to do it right handed, I'm sure I can adjust it to work with my backwards ways :)
ReplyDeleteI too am loving photography...but have a lot to still learn. Photoshop is fun, but it definitely has to start with a perfect picture!
I love what you are loving! Thanks for sharing!
I love posts about happy things! Thanks for sharing all your loves. Jake is the same way about getting stuck on certain things at a time. He made himself real oatmeal every morning for almost a year, but he just grew out of that phase. :) I have a baby girl and I would love a headband, but don't want to be just a taker! Geezo, you send CD's, make recipe books, crochet things. You're such a giver!
ReplyDeleteme too about photography, i want my photos to look like photos and not do photoshop either GOOD luck.
ReplyDeleteLove the headband! So cute!
ReplyDeletei'll have to check out that book. are you on good reads? you should.
ReplyDeletethat headband is darling and i like blue on little girls.
Answer me this: Why don't you live closer so that I can be in your book club???
