Do any of you get up in the morning, get dressed, leave for school or work, and then wonder why in the world you wore what you wore??
I do this all the time!
This morning, for example, I put on a shirt that I bought in 10th grade. 10th grade....that was over 10 years ago! Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but just as I don't have much of a style now, I didn't in 10th grade either.
Why? Why do I still have this old, ugly shirt? And why would I think I should wear it today?
Do you wanna know what it looks like (cause I'm sure you're dying to know, right)? It's dark red, almost maroon, plaid, long sleeve, buttons up the front and has a collar. I bet you can just imagine it, huh?
Needless to say, I need some fashion help. I think my fashion sense is stuck back in 1997-98, maybe even up through 99. I specifically remember the clothes that were in style those years, and I still look for those same kinds of clothes when I shop. Everything is different now though and I don't know what to do. I need someone with a good sense of style to take me shopping. Or I need a seamstress to sew me some cute clothes that actually fit me. Any takers?
If you are still wondering about the awful red, plaid shirt I put on this morning....well, I have since taken it off, but that is not to say that I put on anything better.
And, I think the pants I am wearing are too tight.
It's going to be a long day.
I LOVE BUYING CLOTHES! I will go with you anyday. I dont have amazing style, but Im good at finding deals. Like pants for 2.97 at the Gap. Good deal right? Anyway, I will also say that there is no such thing as pants that are too tight especially with your petite bod, unless you actually cant move in them. I love tight pants, I just wish I had a tight A to fit in them. LOL
ReplyDeleteLibs- you have the best style ever...will you please come up to Laramie and shop with me?!? And Gap pants for 2.97...that's awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI have always thought that you dress so cute, so I don't know what you are talking about.....but maybe you should get rid of the 10 year old shirt :)
ReplyDeleteLibby definitely has the best style. Do you remember the hat that Libby wore to church?? I remember just staring at her and thinking I would never have the guts to be so trendy.
ReplyDeleteYou also have great style and I love that you THINK the pants were too tight.
I do remember Libby's hat. I too thought to myself, "man I wish I could pull that off." Only Libby could do that because she is just cool like that. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that you're funny! Just keep wearing shirts from the 10th grade and I'll nominate you for "What not to Wear". I have ALWAYS wanted to be nominated to that show. I want someone to teach me how to be stylish too. I think you look great!
ReplyDeleteI wish we could have met up over Christmas too. Holidays are just SO busy, next time right.
I don't have any style either..oh well, at least we are comfortable!
ReplyDeleteJen I love you... too funny! I don't ever remember thinking "that girl doesn't have any stlye." I actually thought you had some cute hoodie sweaters and kacki pants... so give yourself a little more credit:)
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad, Jenny dear, I just got rid of some clothes this year that I had BEFORE I GOT MARRIED (13 years ago. ick). Nothing like a great excuse to go shopping!
