Sunday morning, soon after getting out of bed, I was standing in the bedroom talking to Curtis when I fainted and fell straight to the ground. By straight to the ground, I mean I collapsed right onto my stomach...not softly...nothing there to brace my fall...just straight to the ground hitting my head on the floor...carpeted floor, luckily. Curtis didn't know what was going on. He bent right down to me and yelled out my name. My eyes were open but I was not responding. I then started to shake...seizure like shake...not violently though, it was more subtle. I was out for only about 10 seconds. When I finally came to, I was confused as to why I was on the floor. I thought for a second that I may have fallen out of the bed in my sleep. Curtis told me I had passed out and had a seizure. At that moment, I started to freak out a bit. I then remembered getting out of bed and standing up, I remember feeling dizzy, but I don't remember passing out and falling to the ground. It really scared Curtis as I can only imagine. It scared me too. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before.
I felt fine afterwards , besides the splitting headache I had, probably from hitting by head on the ground. Even though I was feeling better, we thought it was best to go get checked out at the emergency room. We definitely didn't want this happening again.
After a few hours in the emergency room and after lots and lots of pokes and prods and after an EKG, the doc had come to a conclusion. LOW BLOOD PRESSURE. My low blood pressure combined with an elevated heart rate caused me to momentarily lose consciousness and collapse. He said I needed to increase my sodium intake...that's right, my doctor is telling me to eat more salt, which is great because I love salt. The doctor isn't too worried about me and doesn't think this will happen again. So, no need for any of you to worry either. I am doing great and my headache finally went away. I haven't felt dizzy since and I am doing everything the doc told me to do. In fact, after I was released, we promptly went to Carl's Jr for some natural cut french fries - yummy...and salty. :)
{Here I am in front of the hospital. I am smiling because we were FINALLY leaving...and because we knew everything was okay}

{Things are back to normal now. Here I am doing my homework just the way I like to do it...on the comfy couch watching tv}

{And I'm back to making delicious dinners, just as I always have :-) Dinner is served! }

That is way scary! Glad you are okay and the Doctors figured out what was wrong!
