>>A MOMENT OF CHIVALRY

Today after church, Curtis and I headed to our car to leave. We happened to be walking behind a newly married young couple. As we got closer to our car, we realized we were parked next to each other. We were soon stopped as Curtis’ car door was blocked by the newly married husband opening the door for his sweet wife. Curtis and I laughed as we analyzed the situation. Curtis was either going to have to stand there and wait by his door for the couple to get in their car, or, he too was going to have to impresses me with his chivalrous ways. We both laughed as Curtis ever so kindly opened the door for me. Oh, isn’t chivalry great? We both continued to laugh as we pulled out of the church parking lot.

Curtis use to always open the car door for me, but now, for whatever reason (and I’m not even sure when it started), we both fend for ourselves when it comes to getting in the car. I hadn’t ever realized this until today, but it sure made us laugh. I guess that is just what happens over time. And besides, opening one’s own door has never killed anyone…right?

Curtis is great and he is always sweeping me off my feet…whether he opens the car door for me or not. He is always so sweet to me and makes me feel special. Thanks babe!! And thanks for opening my door today…even though it was sort of forced :-) You’re the best and I love you!!
