Today I had a job interview.
I've been worrying about this interview for 3 months now. That is a long time. My nerves slowly built and built and built and today they exploded. It was quite embarrassing. There I sat in a room full of people...my mind went blank resulting in rambling nonsense flowing out my mouth. To be honest, I'm not even sure what I said. I doubt much of it made sense anyway.
Last night I had a recurring dream. Want to hear about it? It's a real doozie.
In my dream, I was using the bathroom at my grandparent's house. But their bathroom happened to be in the front yard. And it didn't have any walls. Actually, all it had was a toilet. So, there I sat on the toilet. The bad thing about it was that the neighbors were having a party. A party in their front yard. So, there I sat totally embarrassed trying to figure out how I was going to get out the situation I found myself in. I was getting ready to, um, finish, and right at that moment, a big Anastasia parade float parked right in front of my grandparent's house...attracting all the neighbors. It was awful. Then I woke up.
I get this dream when I am dreading something that is about to take place. I have been so incredibly worried about making a fool out of myself in my interview.
Well...at least I succeeded at something.
What a day.
Lol! That is hilarious! I HATE dreams like that! I have the dream from time to time where I totally forget to wear anything on my upper body, and try to find a way to get people to not notice. Lol! What job was the interview for? I'm sure you did fine!
ReplyDeleteOh Jen. I'm so sorry. I hate those kind of dreams. I'm sorry the interview didn't go well either. Where was it at?
ReplyDeleteOh man, job interviews are so tough!! At least you made it through and you never know... it might have gone better than you think!
ReplyDeleteOh Shoot--job interviews are the absolute pits!! Maybe it was genius mumbo-jumbo coming out of your mouth :)
ReplyDeleteYou never know, maybe they already made up their minds about who they were going to hire before you even had the interview. That's what they do where I work.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you did great, and the positive side is that they already knew how great you are before they even interviewed you. Good luck! (I hate the waiting-to-hear part most of all.)
