FREEDOM

Yesterday was my last official day at my old job. For the past few weeks I have been working at both jobs (my new one and old one), but lucky for me, no more of that. Hallelujah!!

I can't express enough how relieved I am to be done with that job. As I mentioned before, it was lonesome working from home, but in addition to that, there was a certain someone at that job who enjoyed making my life hell. I've never had anyone make me feel like she did. It was almost like every time I had to talk to her, she pushed me to the ground and stomped on me...then spat on me for good measure. It's really how I felt. I've never had anyone hurt my feelings as often as she did.

I'm so, so glad to be out of that "relationship." Life is already hard enough, I don't need someone constantly dragging me down and making me feel like crap. I was done being bullied in high school when I attempted to walk down "stud-hall." I don't need to continue to be bullied through adulthood. No thank you.

I celebrated my new-found-freedom by attending a pizza party last night with the Dinosaurs and their families. It was sure nice to be surrounded my good people and the cutest little soccer players I've ever seen.
(Note: the kid in the purple shirt is not on our team...he just wanted to be in the picture. I told you, these kids are adorable...as is their coach!)

  4. Yeah! SO happy for you. It's just amazing that some people will still bully and act like that are in Jr. High when they're supposed to be adults. Sorry you had to go through that. That's so fun that Curtis is coaching soccer. Woo-hoo!

  5. Stud hall? That is Adam's nickname...just kidding. Hope you enjoy your new job.

  6. Ha! I laughed at the stud hall thing. That was the most scary, intimidating place in the world as a sophomore. Only one day, the senior quarterback walked me down that hall with his arm around me. I was cool for .5 seconds. Such a silly thing, huh? So glad they tore that hall down.

Congrats on your freedom and you're right--Those kids are adorable!

  7. I HATE MEAN PEOPLE!!! What the heck is with that B? She must have her own horrible life that she hates so much she wants someone else to feel as crappy as she does. Im so glad you are out of there too! There is nothing worse than dealing with people like that!

  8. I LOVE the Dinosaurs! Isn't Curtis the best? You are a great girl. I'm glad you are moving on from your old job. No sense staying in a toxic situation. I'm glad you made space in your life for something beautiful and new!
