I sewed some curtains and a draft guard for our front door.

I think the flowers add some spice to the otherwise bland curtain.

The ruffly top on the draft guard was an after-thought. I had extra fabric at the top because I initially cut the fabric too big. I didn't want to just cut it off, so I decided to cut the extra fabric at the top into slits and tie it in knots to create this look.

Our upstairs office didn't have any window coverings (or window trim for that matter). I didn't like the thought of people being able to look right in, so I made these curtains. I did these with the same ruffly top as the draft guard. Don't look too closely at the missing window trim...that will come later.

I finally finished the Christmas presents for my co-workers. My plan was to have these aprons done and put in the mail before Christmas...but that didn't happen (you may have read my procrastination post). Better late than never though, right?

I even made one for me. Maybe now I'll cook more...ha ha...yeah right.

On an unrelated note, my hair fits in a pony-tail (with the help of several bobby-pins). Wohoo!
I LOVE love love your new table, that is awesome! And I really want to learn to make those cute flowers you put on your curtain. You are so crafty, and I love everything you make!

ReplyDeleteYou are crafty!! The curtains are darling, especially with those flowers. I have never made curtains. The desk was a great find....I get such a high off of those finds.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh.....the freedom of fitting your hair into a ponytail, I can easily remember that great feeling.
We should go to a quilting retreat. I think you'd love it. Maybe we could go in 2011, after I graduate. Hopefully by then you'll be a new mommy and not have time to go with me, though. I've always wanted to go on a quilters retreat.
