I used to have tons of trolls. A collection, if you will. I even had troll accessories and a big pink carrying case. I have no idea what ever happened to my collection, nor do I care, but I use to have probably 100 trolls...big ones, small ones, really, really big ones, iddy, bitty, little ones, trolls that fit on pencils, some with clothes, some without clothes...you get the idea.
One year for Halloween, I wanted to be a troll. I had this great plan that I was going to make all of my hair stand straight up like a troll. It was going to be great! Once I got it standing straight up like I wanted, I was going to spray paint it a bright color, like purple or blue.
The only problem was, I had long hair and my hairspray just wasn't strong enough to get my hair standing straight up. Go figure. So, I had to be a boring old cat instead. :(
I also wrote a book about trolls. It was called, "The Lost Troll." I just came across this book recently, and boy was it a hoot. What happened to my creativity? I definitely couldn't write a book that creative these days. It's sad, really.
Continuing on with my obsession, I used to always get a troll cake for my birthday. It was awesome. A tasty cake with a big troll standing right on top. My troll cakes always made my birthdays complete.
What ever happened to trolls? Are they still around? I wish I had one that I could put on my pencil. Something to make class a little more fun. We need to bring trolls back! No more Hannah Montana, iPods, video games or cell phones. Lets give our kids trolls!!
I loved those thing TOO!!!, I even had one that went on my pencil. :)
ReplyDeleteYou can do it Jen! With your determination and rekindled creativity I think you can bring those trolls back---the children of today deserve it.
ReplyDeleteBrooklyn currently has two of my old trolls. I'm doing my part to keep the dream alive!
ReplyDeleteDid you know the KRISTA had a troll collection too? She had a troll choir that she made up! No wonder you two are friends!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, me and my brother used to make up troll plays and make my parents and grandparents watch them. So nerdy, but so fun!
ReplyDeleteSome how, Kayla found a troll pen in one of my boxes, and asked me what is was. Then Hailey picked it up thinking it was a princess wond, she walked around saying,"bibbity bobbity boo". Yes it is time to bring back the troll!
ReplyDeleteHey! I am so happy that you told me about your blog! How fun! I added you to my friends list so now we can really keep up on each other!! Fun fun! Oh, and I got that temple picture at the Wood Connection in SL. They have so many cute things there for cheap!
ReplyDeleteI just got a box from my mom of all of my old toys....and there were quite a bit of Trolls in there! Gotta love them! Bring 'em back!!!
ReplyDeleteI also loved trolls!!! I had to have every kind!!!! That is too funny... we are a silly generation. I love it Jen!
ReplyDeleteTrolls were banned from my 4th grade class because my teacher thought their naked butts were inappropriate.
ReplyDeleteWell, I have to admit that I let my girls play with my trolls. They sure are ugly things. I don't know why we liked them so much. lol
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I have raised my kids with true antidisestablishmentarianism. I bought the kids cheap drugstore knockoff perfume for Valentine's Day. Alexis' was some Brittany Spears brand knockoff. I gave it to her, and she said, "What? I don't even like Brittany Spears!". Then after she smelled it, she couldn't quit spraying it on stuff. But I agree: Down with Brittany, Hannah, and Lindsay! Hooray for Trolls!
