>>THANKSGIVING, PART 1

Lately I have been so overwhelmed with school and work that I have neglected to notice all the good in my life. As November has arrived so quickly and Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I want to focus the rest of this month on the things I am thankful for.

Today I am thankful for a loving husband. Curtis is currently in a domestic violence class at school and he also worked in the domestic violence clinic over the summer. The stories he hears and the cases he reads about are truly heart-breaking. It is so sad to realize what some people go through and to hear just how badly some husbands and wives treat their spouses and loved ones. I am so thankful to have a husband who cares about me and treats me so well. I LOVE having someone by my side who I can talk to, laugh with, love, and feel so safe with. It feels good to be loved and cared for so much by someone. I am forever thankful to have such an amazing person in my life.

I'm also thankful for the fun time I had with Curtis last night in Fort Fun (Fort Collins). I love our small adventures that we take there.

I'm thankful for the bike we were able to buy for Curtis and I'm thankful for all of the bike-rides to come.

I'm thankful that we were able to eat at Panda and laugh together when the nice Chinese lady looked up at me and said, "What can I get for you sir." And I'm thankful for the way Curtis looked at me while we ate with his dashing, dark eyes and dimpled cheeked grin.

I'm thankful we were able to go shopping together at Target. I'm thankful for the sweater Curtis picked out for me as he said, "You would look really cute in this."

I'm thankful that we made it home safely from Fort Fun. I'm thankful that the semi-truck that was swerving all over the road quickly exited and I'm even more thankful that he didn't hit the side rail like I thought he was going too. And even more so, I'm thankful he didn't swerve into us. I'm thankful we had a cell phone so we could call the cops to report his bad driving. (Just for the record, he swerved chaotically completely off the freeway and back on about 4 times before reaching his exit)

I'm thankful for my family. I'm thankful that I was able to talk to my mom and my grandma on the phone yesterday. I'm thankful for them and for all that they do for me.

I'm thankful that today is Tawna's birthday. I'm thankful to have such a wonderful and beautiful sister-in-law.

I truly have so much to be thankful for. I will continue to expand on my list in the days to come.

Happy THANKS-giving!
